Starting at $35.00/hour, based on experience
Sign-On Bonus:
$10,000 with a 2-year commitment Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a small community hospital's rehabilitation team in Kansas. This permanent, full-time opportunity is ideal for an Occupational Therapist with a strong outpatient therapy background and orthopedic knowledge. The position offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities, along with flexible daily hours and a substantial sign-on bonus. Schedule Monday-Friday 40 guaranteed hours per week Flexible scheduling between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM No weekend requirements No holiday requirements No on-call or call-back responsibilities Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years of outpatient therapy experience Current Kansas Occupational Therapy license Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy Strong orthopedic knowledge, particularly involving the upper extremity Manual therapy experience preferred Willingness and ability to float to inpatient and home health services as needed Strong communication and patient-care skills Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans Provide high-quality outpatient occupational therapy services Apply orthopedic knowledge to upper-extremity conditions and rehabilitation Utilize manual therapy techniques when appropriate Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals Provide patient and family education Float to inpatient and home health services when needed Promote patient independence, mobility, and quality of life Facility & Department Information Small community hospital Approximately 49 licensed beds Electronic medical record: Meditech Scrub color: Black Located approximately 30 minutes northeast of Wichita Near El Dorado State Lake Convenient access to Kansas City Compensation & Incentives Starting at $35.00/hour, with the opportunity to negotiate based on years of experience $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment 40 guaranteed hours per week Flexible weekday scheduling No weekend, holiday, or call requirements Apply Today If you are an Occupational Therapist with at least two years of outpatient experience and a passion for orthopedic rehabilitation, we encourage you to apply.
