Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as an Occupational Therapist supporting a vibrant school community near Lemitar, NM. This full-time contract position features a modern four-day workweek, with hours from 8AM-4PM, Monday through Thursday—ideal for achieving a great work-life balance. You'll have the chance to make a significant impact district-wide, serving approximately 40 students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Your expertise in OT and experience with school-based and teletherapy services will be key in delivering high-quality, individualized care. You'll play a leadership role, providing supervision to a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), while collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and support staff committed to student success.
Key Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapy license issued by the State of New Mexico Proven experience with school-aged populations across Pre-K to 12th grade Strong skills in both in-person and teletherapy OT services Ability to supervise and guide a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to a manageable caseload of approximately 40 students Serve students across multiple grade levels, tailoring interventions to a broad range of needs Employ evidence-based practices through both traditional and teletherapy modalities Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other professionals to optimize student outcomes Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to a COTA supporting your caseload Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district policies This position offers the chance to work closely with diverse students while enjoying a condensed, four-day workweek.
