Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' growth and development as a contracted full-time Occupational Therapist working with a district near Polvadera, NM. This role offers a unique chance to collaborate with a diverse group of approximately 40 students across Pre-K through 12th grade, making a substantial impact throughout the district. Take advantage of a family-friendly, four-day work week (Monday-Thursday, 8AM-4PM) - perfect for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You'll use your expertise in school-based occupational therapy, teletherapy, and student-centered interventions to promote success in the academic environment. In this position, you will also provide mentorship and direction as you supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license from the State of New Mexico Experience or interest in providing school-based OT services Understanding of both in-person and teletherapy modalities Comfortable working with Pre-K through 12th grade students Ability to supervise and support a COTA Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students district-wide Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to address student needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans Oversee and guide COTA in service provision Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and professional standards Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary teams This role blends meaningful student interaction with professional autonomy and variety.
