Job Description

Step into an opportunity to make a difference as an Occupational Therapist supporting students in a dynamic school setting. This contract role allows you to leverage your expertise and passion to help young learners overcome barriers, develop essential skills, and achieve both academic and personal goals. Your background in school-based Occupational Therapy will play a vital role in empowering students with strategies and adaptations tailored to their individual needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and active Occupational Therapist license Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication abilities for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families Familiarity with IEPs, progress monitoring, and goal development Creative problem-solving skills and a student-first mindset Ability to manage caseloads and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students strengths and needs Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with educational teams Support the development of fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors Provide direct and consultative Occupational Therapy services as outlined in IEPs Document evaluations, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school policies Deliver staff and parent training as needed, fostering a supportive environment Participate in IEP meetings, student reviews, and ongoing program development Experience personal and professional growth while contributing meaningful support to students and staff.
