Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Take your occupational therapy career to the next level by supporting students in a dynamic school-based environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse school-age caseload, ranging from kindergarten through age 22, primarily within the Low Incidence Program. Located at the Marple Education Center, the role focuses on providing high-quality OT services to students with autism spectrum disorders, complex medical needs, life skills challenges, and multiple disabilities. Bring your expertise to a collaborative team working five days per week, where you'll play an integral role in helping students maximize their independence and engagement in the educational setting. Organizational skills and strong documentation capabilities are crucial as you manage both direct service and the necessary paperwork involved with IEPs and goal tracking.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid licensure and credentials to practice as an Occupational Therapist in school settings Prior experience providing OT support to students in special education, especially those with significant needs Strong documentation and organizational skills, capable of handling the demands of school settings Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families Commitment to meeting the diverse sensory and functional needs of students
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Implement targeted interventions for students with autism, intellectual disabilities, and multiple disabilities Monitor progress and maintain thorough, compliant documentation Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on goal development Support students in building skills necessary for success in both classroom and daily life activities This is a contract assignment offering a meaningful way to make an impact on students' lives, with weekday daytime hours and the opportunity to contribute to a supportive educational team.
