Job Description

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist Previous experience working as an OT in school settings strongly preferred Strong understanding of IEP process, developing appropriate therapy goals, and documenting progress Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Creative problem-solving abilities and adaptability in classroom environments
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' needs related to fine motor, sensory processing, daily living, and adaptive skills Develop individualized treatment plans and provide direct therapy services in accordance with students' IEPs Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support student participation and success in school activities Maintain accurate records and prepare regular progress reports for case managers and parents Participate in IEP meetings, contributing clinical expertise to educational teams Offer consultation and training to educators and family members to carry over strategies in educational settings
