Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students during a maternity leave in a vibrant school setting. This full-time, contract role offers the chance to make a lasting impact at two welcoming elementary schools. You'll be working closely with students, educators, and families to help children reach their greatest potential. This role is ideal for an OT who thrives in a pediatric or school-based environment. You will manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, providing services that enhance students' participation, independence, and educational success.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapist license in South Carolina Prior experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Team player mindset with compassion for working with children of varied abilities
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with student IEPs with a focus on developmental and academic goals Conduct assessments and collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff Document and report student progress and therapy outcomes Support inclusive educational practices and adaptations in general or special education settings Participate in meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team approach This contract assignment runs from mid-December 2026 through mid-March 2027, providing coverage during maternity leave. The schedule is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, shared between two elementary schools.
