School Occupational Therapist | Shelton, Washington

Job Description

Make a lasting impact by supporting students in their academic and personal growth as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a contract role. This position offers the opportunity to work full-time, providing essential services to students from 5th through 12th grade. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist Experience or passion for working in school-based settings Familiarity with IEP planning and documentation Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, staff, and families Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team Previous experience with 5th to 12th-grade students is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students 5th through 12th grade, addressing a wide range of needs that impact learning and participation Conduct comprehensive evaluations and create individualized therapy plans Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals Monitor student progress, adapt interventions, and maintain accurate documentation Consult with teachers and staff to support classroom strategies and modifications Engage families in supporting carryover of therapeutic goals at home
