Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with a diverse student population across multiple locations. Make a positive impact by providing essential services to K-12 students as part of an itinerant support team. In this role, you'll cover a maternity leave and service approximately 50 students throughout the school year, gaining valuable experience working collaboratively within an educational setting.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Hold an active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of California Possess prior experience in a school or pediatric setting (preferred) Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to serve multiple school sites within a district Excellent communication, documentation, and organization skills Ability to engage effectively with students from kindergarten through high school Capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students with varying needs across K-12 settings Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists, educators, and school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Conduct assessments, assist with goal-setting, and monitor student progress Travel between school sites within the district to effectively manage and support your caseload Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all state and district guidelines Serve as a resource for students, families, and staff regarding occupational therapy interventions Enjoy the fulfillment of supporting a dynamic caseload and the opportunity to work in a collaborative educational environment committed to student growth and achievement.
