About the

Role:

As a Pharmacist at Medical West, UAB, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. Your expertise in pharmacoeconomics and medication therapy management will help optimize therapeutic outcomes while managing costs. You will collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide clinical pharmacy services, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. Additionally, you will be responsible for patient counseling, educating them about their medications, and addressing any concerns they may have. Ultimately, your contributions will enhance patient health and well-being, making a significant impact on their quality of life.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

D.) degree from an accredited institution. Active pharmacist license in the state of practice..

Responsibilities:

Review and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness. Provide medication therapy management and pharmacoeconomic evaluations to optimize patient outcomes. Counsel patients on medication use, potential side effects, and adherence strategies. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Administer immunizations and manage pharmacy benefit programs.
