Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract An established 300-bed hospital in Quincy, IL, is seeking an experienced inpatient pharmacist to cover the overnight shift on a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule. This contract opportunity offers a chance to apply your pharmacy expertise in a supportive hospital environment using EPIC and Omnicell systems.

Location:

Quincy, IL Schedule:

Overnight shift, approximately 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working 7 consecutive days followed by 7 days off

Contract Duration:

13 weeks with potential extensions

Start Date:

ASAP Key Responsibilities:

Accurately prepare and dispense medications for inpatient use Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care and medication therapies Utilize EPIC and Omnicell systems for order verification and medication management Monitor patient medication regimens, ensuring safety and compliance with hospital protocols Provide drug information and counseling to healthcare staff as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

Current Illinois pharmacist license Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records (preferred) Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills This contract position offers rewarding work in a dynamic hospital setting with a balanced 7 on/7 off schedule.
