Job Description

Job Title:
Staff Pharmacist (2 Positions Available)

$65.00 - $72.00 per hour ($130,000 - $146,000 annually)

Target Start:
Immediate / October 1stPosition Overview Rx relief is hiring two full-time Staff Pharmacists to join an established long-term care pharmacy team serving senior care and residential living communities near Lawrence, KS. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing daily dispensing workflows, providing clinical oversight, and ensuring accurate medication delivery for vulnerable patient populations. We welcome applications from seasoned pharmacists as well as recent pharmacy graduates eager to step into long-term care!
Daily Operations & Hours Weekday Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts on a bi-weekly rotation between:
Early Shift:
Starts at 7:30
AM Late Shift:
Starts at 9:00
AM Weekend Duty:
Rotating 1 in 5 Saturdays (8:00 AM - 2:00 PM), paired with a compensatory day off during that week. Primary Duties Evaluate, process, and clear routine, refill, and priority/STAT drug orders for clinical suitability. Utilize independent clinical expertise to address drug interactions, dosing questions, and therapy adjustments. Act as a direct point of contact for physicians, nursing staff, and facility personnel. Direct and oversee pharmacy technicians handling fulfillment, packaging, and labeling. Assist with the compounding and verification of sterile intravenous solutions as needed. Uphold strict compliance with all state and federal regulatory guidelines within a dynamic workplace.
What We Are Looking For Credential:
Active Registered Pharmacist license in Kansas (or eligibility for KS licensure).
Degree:
PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy school.
Background:
Prior long-term care experience is a plus, but new graduates are fully encouraged to apply .
