PHARMACY ACCESS COORDINATOR LOCATION
The Colony, TX | Onsite
PAY & SCHEDULE
$22-$24/hour, depending on experience and certifications Full-time, W2 position Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. CST Initial training is generally 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. for approximately the first two weeks
POSITION OVERVIEW
Support patients and members with navigating prescription coverage and accessing needed medications. In this role, you will serve as a point of contact for medication-related questions and work with pharmacies, healthcare providers, and assistance programs to move cases toward resolution. This position requires someone who can research issues, communicate next steps clearly, maintain detailed case documentation, and provide consistent follow-up in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Handle inbound and outbound calls related to prescription coverage, medication access, and patient assistance services Assist members with understanding available resources and the steps required to obtain their medications Communicate with pharmacies, prescriber offices, and assistance programs to gather information and resolve outstanding issues Investigate medication access concerns and provide clear updates throughout the resolution process Track open cases and complete appropriate follow-up to help prevent delays in medication fulfillment Enter detailed notes, status updates, and case outcomes into internal systems Escalate complex concerns to the appropriate internal teams and collaborate on resolution Maintain confidentiality and follow applicable privacy, quality, and program guidelines
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
An active Pharmacy Technician (Pharm Tech) license is required. 1+ year of call center experience in healthcare, pharmacy, prescription benefits, or member/patient support. PTCB or ExCPT certification required within 6 months of hire if not already certified. High School Diploma or GED required. Good job stability (a minimum of 1 year at all previous roles). Must live within a 30 mile radius of The Colony, TX. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to research issues, explain information clearly, and work toward first-contact resolution. Comfortable handling a high volume of patient interactions across multiple communication channels. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document case information.

PREFERRED SKILLS
