Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to support a small 40-bed hospital in Northern Central Wisconsin. This role involves managing a busy inpatient pharmacy, ensuring timely and accurate medication distribution across various departments including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, ED, and outpatient oncology.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders using EPIC, ensuring accuracy and safety. Supervise technician work and respond promptly to pharmacist calls. Prepare and dispense inpatient and outpatient IVs, unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy. Support inpatient census averaging 30-40 patients with diverse needs. Collaborate with clinical teams in surgery, emergency, and specialty care units.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with experience in hospital pharmacy operations. Proficient with EPIC systems and electronic medication order verification. Comfortable managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality patient care. Experience with inpatient and outpatient chemotherapy preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Location:
Owen, Wisconsin Schedule:
Options include four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 am to 5:00 pm) with rotating weekends. Alternatively, a blocked schedule of seven days on, seven days off during day shifts is available. This contract position offers a great chance to gain experience in a dynamic setting while contributing to critical patient care. Immediate start and a 13+ week assignment.
