Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Director to oversee operations at a 99-bed hospital and associated provider clinics in New Mexico. This role offers the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position for candidates demonstrating strong leadership and operational expertise.
Location:
Loving, NM Schedule/Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations and standards Manage daily pharmacy operations and oversee pharmacy staff Collaborate with hospital leadership to support clinical services and patient care Maintain standards consistent with pharmacy accreditation requirements Utilize MedHost EMR to document and manage pharmacy activities effectively
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current New Mexico Pharmacy License is required Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Pharmacy Director, preferably in a hospital setting Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory compliance and pharmacy operations Proficient in using MedHost electronic medical records system Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills This role is ideal for an experienced pharmacy leader seeking to make a meaningful impact within a community hospital environment. The daytime schedule provides a structured workweek, allowing for work-life balance. The contract duration is 13 weeks, with potential for a temp-to-hire arrangement for the right individual.
