Days Role Overview As a Phlebotomist, you'll perform essential laboratory activities, including patient receiving, venipuncture, and computer data entry. Your work directly supports healthcare providers by ensuring accurate and timely specimen collection, contributing to effective patient diagnosis and treatment. This role is critical to maintaining the high standards of care at Henry Ford Health. What You Will Do Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures accurately and safely. Receive patients, verify their information, and ensure a positive experience. Enter patient data and test results into the computer system efficiently. Follow specified procedures to maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization. Support lab clinical functions as needed to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. 6 months to one year of on-the-job experience in venipuncture. Preferred Qualifications Completion of Medical Assistant or Certified Phlebotomy training program. Previous computer experience.
