Duties Travel to designated patient sites to perform blood sampling, venipuncture, and other specimen collection procedures Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transportation of specimens following aseptic techniques and laboratory protocols Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure safe collection practices, especially for geriatrics and pediatrics populations Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and specimen details using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the process Follow laboratory procedures and techniques meticulously to uphold quality standards in specimen collection and processing Adhere to safety protocols including basic life support (BLS) and CPR certifications, practicing heavy lifting safely when necessary Requirements Proven experience in laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, or clinical laboratory work with a focus on blood sampling and specimen handling Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and laboratory techniques relevant to venipuncture and blood collection Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture accurately using aseptic technique across diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics Valid certification in phlebotomy or related medical laboratory work experience; BLS/CPR certification required or obtainable upon hire Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and documentation of specimen collection activities Ability to lift heavy loads safely during specimen transport or equipment setup; comfortable standing for extended periods during mobile visits Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor; strong communication skills for explaining procedures clearly Embark on a rewarding career that combines mobility with vital healthcare services.
