ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for blood draws, processing, and distribution of clinical laboratory specimens for testing. Sends specimens to contracted reference laboratories as needed. Performs clerical duties associated with the operation of the Laboratory. Assures correct specimen is collected and maintains specimen integrity until testing occurs. Ensures adequate charging and billing entries of all tests via EMR and all necessary systems. Prioritizes specimen collection and delivery to minimize the complete testing cycle; responds to requests for specimen collection in the prescribed time after being notified (STAT- 5 minutes, ASAP
- less than 30 minutes, Routine
