Key Qualifications and Experience:

Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Indiana Previous experience in a school-based role preferred, but not required Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy and educational team dynamics Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and support team members Ability to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized therapy plans for students with diverse needs Comfortable documenting progress and adapting interventions as needed

Role Overview and Responsibilities:

Provide direct physical therapy interventions to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Participate in assessments and help develop IEPs alongside multidisciplinary teams Consult with teachers, instructional staff, and families to design strategies supporting each student's mobility and development within the school environment Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining clear records in compliance with district and federal standards Educate faculty and families on techniques that foster student independence and enhance participation in classroom activities Foster an encouraging and supportive atmosphere that empowers students to achieve their goals
