Physical Therapist - School Setting in Florissant, MO

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in early childhood education working with preschool-aged children in a supportive, collaborative setting. This contract physical therapy opportunity offers a flexible three-day schedule near the Florissant area, supporting two schools within Early Childhood Programs. Youll have the chance to empower young learners, partnering with educational teams and families to maximize developmental progress during a critical stage in their growth.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid and active Physical Therapist (PT) license for Missouri Experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based settings Comfortable working in early childhood (PreK) environments Ability to work independently while collaborating with staff and families Strong communication and documentation skills Must meet time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including district fingerprinting and completion of technology onboarding forms
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to early childhood students attending Monday through Thursday programs Collaborate with educators and special services staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans Evaluate motor development, mobility, and adaptive needs within a school environment Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records as part of a multidisciplinary team Communicate regularly with families, offering education and recommendations for at-home support Commit to a consistent three-day weekly schedule (approx. 22.5 hours), with opportunity for additional hours as needs evolve
