Orthopedics Full Job Description Role:
Orthopedic At-Home Physical Therapist Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and conditions in their homes
  • Educate patients on safe mobility, transfers, and ambulation
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, goals, and prognosis
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support systems
  • Document patient care, progress, and discharge plans following regulatory and reimbursement guidelines
  • Provide functional training in ADLs/IADLs, transfers, and community reintegration
  • Ensure safe and effective interventions in compliance with standards
  • Maintain accurate records using EMR software and participate in billing processes
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate care
  • Promote patient success and recovery in a compassionate manner
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree; Doctorate preferred
  • Licensed in the practicing state; CPR certification
  • Experience with EMR software preferred
  • Strong communication, clinical decision-making, and work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive, professional demeanor
Key Duties:
  • Conduct evaluations, select tests, and interpret results
  • Formulate treatment plans and modify as needed
  • Provide patient education and functional training
