Description Position Overview Rethink Counseling Center, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in South Amboy, New Jersey. Work Environment The position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center, which is designed to facilitate optimal recovery for our patients. Operating Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, the work environment is collegial and patient-focused. Our facility is equipped with the latest therapy technologies and tools, ensuring that our therapists can deliver the highest standard of care. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients to assess physical capabilities and limitations while setting personalized treatment goals in collaboration with each individual. Design and implement effective treatment programs that maximize patient outcomes, utilizing evidence-based practices and advanced therapeutic techniques. Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists and social workers, to coordinate care and resources for optimal treatment outcomes. Maintain compliance with the New Jersey State Practice Act and adhere to the ethical standards set forth by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Regularly document patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure alignment with established goals. Participate in ongoing education and training initiatives within the organization to stay ahead of industry trends and developments. Provide mentorship to junior staff and support a culture of professional growth to enhance team capabilities. Engage actively with patients, ensuring they are informed and motivated throughout their rehabilitation journey. Patient Population / Client Focus Our patient demographic includes a broad range of individuals, from pediatric to geriatric patients, each presenting unique rehabilitation needs. The center places a strong emphasis on orthopedic rehabilitation, catering to those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Therapists are trained to assess and treat specific age-related issues, ensuring that care plans are both comprehensive and tailored to each patient's developmental stage. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is essential. Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of New Jersey. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in physical therapy, demonstrating a thorough understanding of rehabilitation practices. Preferred Experience Experience in orthopedic physical rehabilitation is preferred, particularly with post-operative and injury recovery protocols. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages. Ability to perform thorough assessments and interpret physical therapy needs across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
