Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a local district near Westerville, OH. A physical therapist is needed to cover a maternity leave, working with a diverse PreK-5th grade caseload across three nearby school buildings. This position offers a manageable caseload of approximately 35 students and requires presence three days a week, totaling 23 hours. The compact size of the district means travel between buildings is quick and convenient, allowing you to focus on meaningful student interactions and impactful therapy sessions.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid and current Physical Therapy license in Ohio Previous experience with pediatric populations, ideally in educational settings Knowledge of IEP processes, goal setting, and evaluation team report documentation Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
Your Contributions Will Include:
Delivering engaging, evidence-based therapy services to students from PreK through 5th grade Managing a caseload of 35 students with diverse physical therapy needs Traveling between three buildings (minimal, all within a 5-square-mile area) Completing accurate progress reports and documentation Updating IEP goals and evaluation team reports as necessary Partnering with educators and families to support optimal student growth This contract position begins as soon as possible and continues through mid-January 2027, offering consistency and stability over an extended leave period.
