Work Environment The role of Physical Therapist is primarily onsite at our outpatient office, where you will engage with patients in a welcoming and advanced therapeutic setting. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, allowing you to implement innovative treatment modalities and cutting-edge rehabilitation techniques. Each day will be dynamic, filled with opportunities to work alongside occupational therapists and nursing staff in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Perform initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients to determine mobility, pain levels, strength, and overall functionality. Develop and execute personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments and the specific goals of each patient. Conduct evidence-based therapy sessions aimed at enhancing mobility, alleviating discomfort, and preventing injuries, employing techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities. Instruct patients, their families, and caregivers on appropriate therapeutic techniques and at-home exercise regimens to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses and occupational therapists, to create integrated care plans that address the full spectrum of patient needs. Maintain compliant and accurate documentation of all patient interactions and treatment progress in accordance with Medicare and state regulatory standards. Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that respects the dignity and enhances the quality of life for all individuals. Patient Population / Client Focus At Resurge Rehab & Therapy, our patients are primarily adults and seniors who are navigating recovery from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. We are dedicated to personalized care, recognizing that each individual has unique mobility challenges and recovery goals. You will play a critical role in guiding these patients through their rehabilitation journeys, with a focus on helping them achieve independence and confidence in their daily activities. Qualifications Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia or eligibility for licensure. Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, DPT preferred. CPR/BLS certification required; must be obtained if not held at hire. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively relate to diverse patient populations. Excellent organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple patient cases concurrently. Willingness and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented setting. Preferred Experience At least 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly within outpatient or assisted living environments. Prior experience in geriatrics or long-term care is advantageous but not essential. Demonstrated ability to design and implement rehabilitation programs tailored to specific patient needs. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
