Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions. Develop personalized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique goals and functional abilities. Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities such as dry needling and cupping (if certified). Educate patients on strategies for injury prevention, postural correction, and maintaining long-term wellness. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including orthopedic surgeons, chiropractors, and athletic trainers, to ensure comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation using our electronic medical records (EMR) system in alignment with regulatory guidelines. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Physical Therapist at Resurge Rehab & Therapy, you will primarily work with outpatient clients who present a variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions. Our patient demographic includes athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals in rehabilitation from surgeries, and those seeking preventive care to enhance their physical activity and daily function. Qualifications A Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A valid Virginia Physical Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain one. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to foster a positive therapeutic environment. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred, though new graduates with strong clinical internships and rotations are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with specialized treatments such as dry needling, vestibular rehabilitation, or sports performance enhancement is a plus. A demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education and certifications in relevant physical therapy disciplines.
