Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality physical therapy services to diverse patient populations. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans, supporting patient recovery, and enhancing mobility and function. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life across inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and pediatric or geriatric care. We are looking for motivated professionals eager to make a meaningful difference through compassionate patient care and collaborative healthcare practices. Duties Assist in developing and executing individualized care plans under the supervision of licensed physical therapists. Implement physical therapy treatments including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other modalities to promote healing and mobility. Operate and maintain medical equipment used in therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper functionality. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, and nurses to coordinate patient care. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress expectations, and home exercise programs. Conduct thorough clinical assessment documentation to track patient outcomes and inform ongoing care strategies. Support discharge planning processes by providing detailed updates on patient progress and post-treatment recommendations. Experience Prior experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice. Hands-on experience with physical therapy treatment implementation such as manual therapy techniques and trigger point therapy. Familiarity with medical documentation standards including clinical assessment documentation and medical records management. Skilled in operating medical equipment used for therapeutic interventions while adhering to safety protocols. Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and record keeping. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver engagement and client interaction across diverse populations including pediatric and geriatric patients. Pay:
$70.00 - $75.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
