Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting the recovery and development of pediatric patients. Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions and report progress or concerns accurately to supervising therapists. Prepare treatment areas, ensure proper use of physiotherapy equipment, and maintain a safe environment for young patients. Participate in discharge planning by providing families with home exercise instructions and follow-up recommendations. Document patient progress, treatment details, and clinical observations clearly in medical records while adhering to healthcare regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to pediatric development and rehabilitation. Experience with outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health settings working with pediatric populations. Familiarity with physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapy methods. Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams using clear medical terminology. Understanding of care plans specific to pediatrics as well as geriatrics when applicable. Knowledge of discharge planning processes to ensure seamless transitions from therapy to home or other care environments. Prior experience in orthopedics or acute care settings is highly desirable for this role.
