Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical/Chiropractic Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of clinical procedures, patient care, and medical administration, with experience in diverse medical settings including outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and specialized care units. The Medical/Chiropractic Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations while delivering exceptional patient service. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature. Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment, including X-ray and ultrasound tools, are ready for procedures. Support physicians and chiropractors during examinations and treatments by providing hands-on assistance with medication administration, wound care, and other clinical tasks. Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems accurately to document patient information, treatment plans, and ICD (International Classification of Diseases) coding for billing purposes. Conduct basic diagnostic procedures such as measuring vital signs, performing initial assessments, and assisting with laboratory tests or imaging studies in outpatient or inpatient settings. Manage administrative duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and supporting billing processes while ensuring excellent patient service at all times. Requirements Proven experience working in medical environments such as dermatology clinics, hospital medicine units, urgent care centers, or outpatient clinics. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred; relevant certifications are highly valued. Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions to ensure accurate documentation and efficient workflow. Prior experience with X-ray operation or imaging support in hospital or outpatient settings is advantageous. Strong understanding of emergency medicine procedures and familiarity with Level I & II trauma center protocols. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as Geriatrics wards, surgical units—including OR experience—and internal medicine departments. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient service; ability to collaborate seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams. $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
