In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans to a diverse patient population across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your expertise will help improve mental health outcomes through evidence-based practices, personalized patient care, and innovative therapeutic approaches. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges, including children, adults, and geriatric populations. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive psychiatric services while adhering to health regulation policies and maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing psychopharmacology, psychotherapy (including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy), and other evidence-based practices. Provide medication management and monitor treatment efficacy while ensuring compliance with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) regulations. Offer crisis management support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes or emergencies, including PTSD care and behavioral health crises. Collaborate with healthcare teams on diagnostic evaluation, intake procedures, and ongoing patient care to optimize treatment outcomes. Maintain accurate medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), ensuring compliance with HIPAA and health regulation policies. Participate in telehealth consultations and provide outpatient or inpatient psychiatric services as needed across various clinical settings. Engage in continuous professional development by staying current with advances in clinical psychiatry, addiction medicine, pediatric psychiatry, geriatrics, and related fields. Experience Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients in clinical or hospital environments. Prior hospital experience with inpatient psychiatric units or crisis stabilization units is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and evidence-based practices. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or complex mental health conditions such as PTSD or substance use disorders. Strong knowledge of healthcare diagnosis procedures, medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical psychiatry protocols. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and experience providing remote psychiatric consultations is preferred. Working knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and DEA regulations related to controlled substances. Post-residency experience in psychiatry with a focus on behavioral health or consultation-liaison psychiatry is advantageous.
