This full-time, full-school-year contract opportunity is ideal for experienced school psychologists who are passionate about supporting diverse learners. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and families, utilizing your expertise to promote student well-being and educational success in a vibrant community.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Must hold a valid California School Psychologist credential or license Proven experience working as a school psychologist in K-12 schools Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, administrators, and families Comfortable with a flexible caseload, as assignments may shift Preference for candidates local to the area or those looking to permanently relocate Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and needs Develop and implement intervention strategies that support academic, social, and emotional growth Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, counselors, and administrators Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring legal and procedural compliance Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling as needed Serve as a consultant to school staff and parents, offering expert guidance on best practices for student development If you value making a tangible impact and are motivated to support a diverse student population, this contract position offers the perfect platform for your skills and expertise.
