Job Description

Responsibilities will include:

Conduct psychological and psycho-educational evaluations to support student learning, eligibility determinations, and educational planning

Participate as a collaborative member of multidisciplinary teams including Child Study Team (CST) and Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings

Develop and contribute to individualized educational programming and behavioral intervention planning

Maintain clinical progress notes, evaluation reports, and other required documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations

Collaborate with students, families, teachers, related service providers, and administrators regarding effective instructional practices, learning needs, and social-emotional supports

Provide individual and group counseling services to support students' academic, behavioral, and emotional development

Assist in the development and implementation of interventions and supports for students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges

Support school-wide initiatives that promote positive school climate, student wellness, and social-emotional learning

Interpret assessment data and communicate findings clearly to staff and families

Maintain strong professional relationships and contribute positively to a collaborative educational environment

QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Connecticut Certification:

070 School Psychologist required

Master's Degree in Psychology or related field required

Knowledge of psychoeducational assessment practices, special education procedures, and student support services

Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and collaborative skills

Commitment to fostering inclusive practices and supporting the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students

SALARY:

Per NFEA Contract
