School Psychologist in Cicero, IL

Job Description

Step into an impactful full-time contract opportunity supporting PK-3rd graders in a dynamic educational environment. This role plays a vital part in fostering student success across an entire building, including specialized programs serving students with significant disabilities. You'll collaborate with a dedicated, caring team—including a bilingual psychologist available one to two days per week—to provide comprehensive psychological services and shape a supportive, inclusive atmosphere for young learners.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
State certification and credentials as a School Psychologist Experience in school settings, preferably supporting early childhood through third grade Knowledge of assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring for students with diverse abilities Familiarity with specialized programming for students with disabilities is highly valued Strong skills in consultation, collaboration, and problem-solving within a multidisciplinary team Ability to effectively communicate with teachers, administrators, and families Flexibility to manage a high caseload with compassion and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect psychological services to all students in the building Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop IEP and 504 recommendations, and participate in eligibility meetings Provide crisis intervention and support in a responsive, trauma-informed manner Collaborate with general and special education staff, as well as supportive services professionals Monitor student progress, evaluate program effectiveness, and suggest data-driven improvements Offer guidance, counseling, and strategies for classroom success and emotional well-being This opportunity offers a chance to grow professionally while making a tangible difference for students and families.
