This opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact, providing essential psychological services and collaborating closely with educators and families. You'll join a collaborative environment focused on student growth and well-being.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a school psychologist endorsement Experience working with junior high or middle-school-aged students preferred Strong skills in assessment, consultation, intervention, and written/oral communication Ability to develop and implement IEPs and contribute to multidisciplinary teams Compassion, adaptability, and cultural awareness
What You'll Do:
Conduct evaluations to identify student strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services Provide individual and group counseling to support students' academic and emotional development Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design and monitor interventions Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, offering insights and recommendations for student support Advocate for students' mental health and facilitate access to resources as needed Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
