Job Description

Step into the upcoming school year as a valued resource for elementary students and staff in a collaborative academic environment near Harvey, IL. This contract position runs from August 19 through June 11 and is tailored for a School Psychologist eager to make a positive difference in the 2026-2027 school year. You'll play a critical part in supporting student development and providing expert guidance to educational teams.

Desired Qualifications:

Master's Degree or Specialist Degree in School Psychology is a must Current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement Strong skills in administering psychological assessments, diagnostic testing, and evaluations Experience with elementary-aged children preferred Effective communicator and active participant in team meetings Ability to provide both individual and group counseling

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' needs Lead testing and diagnostic examinations to inform individualized education plans Deliver therapeutic interventions and counseling for students, either one-on-one or in small groups Attend and contribute to PPT (Planning and Placement Team) meetings Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to develop targeted strategies for student success Maintain accurate documentation and confidential student records Serve as a resource to staff regarding best practices in mental health and educational supports Responsive candidates ready to interview are encouraged to take this opportunity to impact young learners through direct care and collaborative problem-solving.
