Job Description

Make a real difference in students lives by providing crucial psychological services in a dynamic, supportive school setting near Metairie, LA. This contract-to-hire opportunity puts you at the center of student development, working on-site with a full-time schedule and a caseload tailored to your expertise. Your role will involve collaborating with educators, families, and school staff to create positive learning environments. Youll conduct assessments, help develop individualized education plans, and champion students academic, emotional, and behavioral success. Ideal candidates will bring enthusiasm, strong communication skills, and a passion for empowering young people.
Qualifications:
Current School Psychologist license in TN Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Experience in a school setting preferred Strong knowledge of assessment, intervention, and counseling best practices Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills Flexibility working with diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological and academic assessments for students as needed Develop and implement interventions to support student learning and well-being Participate in eligibility, evaluation, and IEP meetings Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student needs and strategies Maintain accurate and timely documentation Respond effectively to crisis situations and behavioral incidents Stay updated on legal and best-practice developments in school psychology Youll be supported by a Clinical Advisory Team and have access to ongoing professional development.
