Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students as a School Psychologist within a dynamic learning environment near Canton, MI. This full-time, contract opportunity allows you to make a significant impact as part of a dedicated student services team. While the initial placement is likely within an elementary school setting, flexibility for location changes is required.
Key Qualifications:
Valid state certification or license as a School Psychologist Master's or higher degree in School Psychology or related field Prior experience working in educational settings Strong understanding of current best practices in school psychology and student support Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with students, staff, and families Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to help guide individualized student learning plans Interpret data to develop effective interventions, modifications, and supports tailored to student needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor IEPs and 504 plans Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services to support social and emotional wellness Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and serve as a resource on student mental health and learning challenges Assist in the development and implementation of proactive prevention programs within the school community
