Job Description

This contract opportunity is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist with a strong background in behavioral and counseling interventions. As part of a specialized program focused on students with intensive social, emotional, and behavioral needs, your expertise in trauma-informed practice and data-driven decision-making will make a real difference.
Key qualifications and experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure Comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed care Strong background in behavioral interventions and counseling Experience conducting psychoeducational and behavioral assessments Skilled in developing and monitoring Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) Familiarity with MTSS frameworks Strong collaboration and communication skills Main responsibilities: Provide individual and small-group counseling supporting emotional regulation and problem-solving skills Conduct behavioral and psychoeducational evaluations Complete FBAs and assist in developing effective BIPs Support the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Participate in IEP and Section 504 meetings Assist with crisis response and safety planning for students Develop transition plans facilitating successful reintegration into home schools Enjoy a full-time schedule (37.5 hours weekly) and the chance to build meaningful relationships while strengthening the connection between mental health and student achievement.
