Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality MRI examinations per physician orders and protocols Prepare and educate patients about MRI procedures, addressing questions Screen patients for MRI safety, including implants and medical devices Position patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining image quality Monitor patients during imaging to ensure comfort and safety Respond appropriately to emergency situations Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in the EMR Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other professionals to coordinate care Ensure compliance with MRI safety guidelines, infection prevention protocols, and departmental policies Perform routine equipment quality assurance checks and report maintenance concerns Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care during every interaction
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Current ARRT certification Current Kansas Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility for licensure Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and imaging protocols Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Preferred Skills:
ARRT (MR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain if applicable Previous MRI experience preferred Experience operating MRI equipment in a hospital or outpatient setting Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic image quality Excellent patient care and customer service skills Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care #CHCPERM
