Job Description

Jackson HealthPros seeks a Mammography Tech to provide high-quality screening and diagnostic breast imaging in diverse healthcare settings. You will operate digital mammography equipment, position patients, verify orders, and follow
MQSA/ACR
standards to ensure accurate, safe exams. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, clear communication, and meticulous image quality review. You'll collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and care teams to support timely diagnoses, maintain detailed documentation, and uphold infection control and radiation safety. Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms following MQSA and ACR guidelines Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images Operate and troubleshoot digital mammography and PACS equipment Verify imaging orders, patient identity, and history prior to exams Provide compassionate, clear communication to reduce patient anxiety Review images for quality and completeness before radiologist interpretation Maintain accurate exam records, documentation, and quality control logs Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and privacy regulations Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to support timely diagnoses Participate in ongoing quality improvement and continuing education Required Skills Digital mammography operation Patient positioning for breast imaging Knowledge of MQSA and ACR standards Radiation safety and dose optimization Use of PACS/RIS and EMR systems Image quality assessment and QA procedures Infection control practices Patient education and communication Basic breast anatomy and pathology recognition Regulatory compliance and documentation
