We are seeking an experienced, energetic and passionate Life Enrichment / Activities Director to lead engaging programs that enhance the lives of our residents. In this vital role, you are responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing a comprehensive activities program that promotes residents' physical, emotional, social and spiritual well=being. Your leadership will create a vibrant community atmosphere where seniors feel valued, engaged, and empowered.
Duties:
Develop and maintain a daily/weekly/monthly activities calendar. Assess resident interests, abilities, and preferences and incorporate them into individualized and group activities. Provide a variety of recreational, social, educational, spiritual, and therapeutic activities. Adapt activities for residents with dementia, physical limitations, or other special needs. Coordinate outings, special events, entertainment, volunteers, and community involvement. Manage and run our Volunteer Program Supervise and train activities staff and volunteers as applicable. Maintain required activity records, attendance, assessments, and care plan documentation. Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and communicate resident needs to the care team. Promote resident choice, dignity, independence, and quality of life. Ensure the activities program complies with facility policies and applicable federal and state regulations. Experience Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care settings, especially within senior living facilities or nursing homes. Strong background in recreational therapy, memory care, Alzheimer's/dementia care, and geriatrics. Demonstrated success in event planning and program development tailored for seniors with diverse needs. Prior leadership experience managing teams and coordinating resident activities in a healthcare environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster resident rapport and collaborate effectively with staff and families. Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities or special needs related to aging issues counseling.
Qualifications:
