Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and lead a variety of activities, events, and programs tailored to the needs and interests of the community. Develop monthly and seasonal calendars that promote engagement, participation, and overall well-being. Build positive relationships with participants, families, staff, and community partners to support successful programming. Oversee activity supplies, budgets, scheduling, and transportation needs as applicable. Encourage participation by creating inclusive, accessible, and enjoyable experiences for a diverse group of individuals. Collaborate with team members and leadership to align activities with organizational goals and care or service plans. Coordinate special events, celebrations, outings, volunteer opportunities, and group functions. Maintain accurate records related to attendance, program outcomes, and required documentation. Monitor the effectiveness of activities and adjust offerings based on feedback and participation trends. Qualifications Previous experience in recreation, event coordination, programming, social services, or a related field preferred. Experience interacting with the elderly and those with memory care needs Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging, varied, and meaningful programming. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. Comfort using basic technology for scheduling, communication, and recordkeeping. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in recreation, gerontology, hospitality, or a related area is a plus.
