In this vital role, you will create a vibrant, supportive environment by developing and coordinating diverse recreational, social, and therapeutic activities tailored to the unique needs of seniors. Your leadership will foster resident engagement, promote well-being, and build meaningful connections within our community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on residents' lives while working with a dedicated team committed to excellence in senior care. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational activities, events, and programs that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and physical activity for residents. Coordinate resident events such as outings, celebrations, and themed activities to foster community spirit and resident involvement. Develop personalized activity plans that accommodate residents' individual interests, abilities, and health conditions, including those with dementia or memory care needs. Build strong rapport with residents by understanding their preferences and encouraging participation in enriching activities. Collaborate with nursing staff, caregivers, and family members to ensure activities support overall care goals and enhance residents' well-being. Manage program schedules efficiently while maintaining detailed documentation of resident participation and program outcomes. Lead and supervise activity staff or volunteers to ensure high-quality delivery of programs aligned with best practices in senior living and assisted living environments. Requirements Proven experience in event planning, recreational therapy, or program development within assisted living facilities or nursing homes. Prior experience working with seniors, including those with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of geriatric care issues such as memory care, aging challenges, and long-term care practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage residents, families, and team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for scheduling, documentation, and communication purposes. Demonstrated ability to build rapport with residents while fostering a positive community atmosphere. Leadership skills to supervise staff or volunteers while maintaining a collaborative team environment. Ability to coordinate multiple resident events simultaneously while managing schedules efficiently. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus. Pay:
