Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LPN/RN to join our team at a residential drug and alcohol treatment center. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide quality nursing care and support to clients undergoing detoxification from drugs and alcohol. The LPN/RN will work closely with the medical team and other staff members to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of clients during their recovery journey. Additionally, the LPN/RN will play an active role in leading educational groups, assisting with medication management, conducting chart audits, and performing assessments as needed. PRN pool 1-2 shifts minimum a month.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care and support to clients during the detoxification process, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Administer medications and monitor clients for any adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Conduct assessments to gather relevant medical and psychiatric information, documenting findings accurately and timely.
  • Lead educational groups on topics related to addiction, recovery, and overall wellness.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans for clients.
  • Assist with medication management, including medication administration, storage, and reconciliation.
  • Perform chart audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and other relevant health indicators.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to clients throughout their treatment j journey.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of job performance.
Qualifications:
Current, valid LPN or RN license. Experience working in a residential drug and alcohol treatment center or similar healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of substance abuse treatment principles and best practices. Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team. Understanding of medication management protocols and procedures. Proficiency in documenting accurately and maintaining electronic health records. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards. This is a PRN Pool position that may require working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to provide comprehensive care and support to clients. The LPN/RN will play a vital role in promoting a safe and healing environment for individuals seeking recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
