As a leader in post-acute care, we provide a full continuum of services to our patients, and our Infection Control/Wound Nurse plays a vital role in ensuring the highest level of quality care. About the
Role:
As an Infection Control/Wound Nurse, you will be responsible for providing expert wound care and infection prevention services to our patients. Your expertise will help us maintain a safe and clean environment for our patients, residents, and staff. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to identify and address wound care and infection control issues, and develop effective plans to prevent and manage these issues.
Responsibilities:
Conduct wound assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with complex wounds Implement evidence-based wound care treatments to promote healing and prevent complications Develop and maintain accurate records of wound care interventions and patient progress Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address infection control issues Provide education and training to staff on infection control and wound care best practices Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve wound care and infection control outcomes Contribute to the development and implementation of infection control policies and procedures
Requirements:
Current RN licensure in the state of Connecticut Minimum 2 years of experience in infection control/wound care (new grads welcome to apply!) Strong knowledge of wound care and infection prevention principles and practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
