Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long Term Care (LTC) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes and assisted living communities. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care, promote health and safety, and support residents' well-being across diverse clinical settings.

Travel Pay:
$2,200/week for 36 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews Develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with residents' needs and medical directives Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections, IV infusions, catheter care, and wound suturing Monitor residents for acute pain management, infection control, and response to therapies such as botulinum toxin treatment Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, including speech therapists for swallow assessments or physical therapists for mobility support Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations Provide education to residents and their families regarding health conditions, medication management, and wellness strategies Respond promptly to emergencies utilizing critical care procedures such as airway management or trauma response protocols
Requirements:
Valid RN license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards Minimum of two years of experience in long-term care settings or nursing home environments Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Epic Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions Knowledge of ICD-10 coding, medical terminology, and documentation standards Critical care experience preferred, including ICU or emergency room exposure Strong skills in medication administration, IV insertion, tube feeding management, and infection control practices Ability to perform physical examinations and vital signs assessment accurately Excellent communication skills for effective triage and patient education Additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are advantageous CA02
