Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) Full-Time / Part-Time / PRN Job Summary Sullivan County Memorial Hospital is seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients and residents in acute, skill and emergency nursing settings. The RN will assess patient needs, administer medications and treatments, respond to emergencies, coordinate care, and promote patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills and is able to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Assess patients, develop care plans, provide treatment, and document care. Administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor vital signs. Provide emergency and acute nursing care. Assist physicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures. Educate patients and families and assist with discharge planning. Supervise and coordinate care with CNAs, LPNs, UAPs, and support staff. Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergencies. Follow infection control, HIPAA, EMTALA, and hospital policies. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional patient environment. Participate in quality improvement and continuing education. Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) Ability to push/pull up to 100 lbs. Exposure to clinical and high-paced healthcare environments Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current Missouri RN license BLS certification required ACLS and PALS preferred Acute care, intermediate care, or emergency experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently and manage stressful situations.
