Job Description

Job Title:
Registered Nurse (RN) | After-Hours Hospice | 7 On / 7
Off Company:
Superior Hospice Location:
Greater Twin Cities Metro Area Schedule:
7 Days On / 7 Days Off | 5:00 PM-8:00
AM Compensation:
$90,000-$130,000 per year + Mileage Reimbursement Want to stand out from other applicants? Email Paige Lubiani at paige.lubiani@hhcare.net with your resume and a little about your nursing background, what you're looking for next, and what makes you curious about hospice or a 7 On / 7 Off overnight schedule . Could Hospice Be Your Next Chapter? You've built years of nursing experience assessing patients, recognizing changes, managing complex situations, and supporting families. What if your next chapter allowed you to use those skills differently? Superior Hospice is looking for an experienced RN to provide evening and overnight hospice care throughout the Greater Twin Cities Metro. You'll work independently in the field, manage symptoms, respond to changes in condition, educate families, and help patients remain comfortable wherever they call home. You don't necessarily need to come from hospice. If you've built strong clinical judgment in the ER, ICU, Oncology, Home Health, Med/Surg, Assisted Living, Memory Care, or another complex nursing environment , your experience may translate better than you think. Why Overnights? After-hours hospice nursing offers a unique combination of clinical independence, meaningful one-on-one care, and a completely different work rhythm . You'll work seven nights from 5:00 PM-8:00 AM, followed by seven consecutive days off . During your working week, patients and families rely on your experience when something changes after hours. A patient's breathing changes. Pain breaks through. A family isn't sure whether a medication is working. A facility calls because something doesn't seem right. You're the experienced nurse helping determine what happens next. Then, after your seven-night rotation, you have seven consecutive days off . Why Consider Superior Hospice? $90,000-$130,000 per year 7 On / 7 Off schedule Seven consecutive days off every other week Mileage reimbursement Significant clinical autonomy Focused one-on-one patient care Develop advanced pain and symptom management skills Interdisciplinary clinical support Predictable schedule you can plan your life around What You'll Do Respond to evening and overnight hospice needs Make skilled nursing visits throughout the Greater Twin Cities Metro Assess changes in condition and determine appropriate next steps Manage pain, dyspnea, anxiety, agitation, wounds, and other symptoms Evaluate medications and comfort-focused interventions Educate and support patients and families Collaborate with physicians, pharmacies, facilities, and the hospice team Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation Your Experience Can Translate to Hospice We're interested in experienced RNs from Hospice, Home Health, ER, ICU, Critical Care, Oncology, Med/Surg, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Long-Term Care . Hospice experience is preferred, but it's not the only path here. We're looking for the experience underneath the specialty: Can you assess confidently? Can you recognize when something has changed? Can you make a sound nursing decision without another nurse standing beside you? Can you bring calm into a room when a patient or family is scared? Do you know when you can manage a situation and when additional clinical support is needed? Those are skills you've spent your career developing. Hospice gives you another way to use them. Why Make the Move? Hospice doesn't mean leaving clinical nursing behind. You'll still assess. You'll still problem-solve. You'll still manage complex symptoms and make important clinical decisions. But the outcome you're working toward is different: comfort, dignity, symptom control, and helping patients and families feel supported during an incredibly important time. You aren't starting your nursing career over. You're taking everything you've learned with you into the next chapter. Not sure hospice or overnights are right for you? Start with a conversation. Email Paige Lubiani at paige.lubiani@hhcare.net with your resume and a little about what you're looking for next. Paige would love to talk about why your nursing experience may translate to hospice, what after-hours nursing actually looks like, and whether the 7 On / 7 Off schedule could fit the life you want outside of work.
