Job Description

The River Hospital Inpatient Unit is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team. Our Inpatient Unit Nurses work three 12-hour shifts weekly. Night Shift also has a 10% differential added to the base rate. Job purpose A clinically competent registered, licensed nurse who provides immediate, specialized emergency care with a multidisciplinary emergency medical service provider team. Must possess the basic and advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Qualifications Valid and current registration, New York State RN license BLS and ACLS certification within the first 60 days of hire. (free classes offered to employees onsite) Preferred minimum of two years of inpatient experience but new graduates are welcome to apply Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care. It is the employee's responsibility to know the requirements for certification, limited permit and licensure for their individual profession. It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue. The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession. Working conditions and Physical requirements Regular day, evening, night and weekend shifts. OSHA Category A - potential for exposure to blood and other infectious body substances. Bending, lifting, standing, walking, must possess the physical ability to perform CPR.
