Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Vent Unit RN to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to our ventilator-dependent patients, including assessing their needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our respiratory therapists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care to ventilator-dependent patients, including assessing their needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and administering medications and treatments as ordered by physicians Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team, including respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans Conduct routine assessments and evaluations of patient condition, including vital signs, wound care, and other measures to ensure the best possible outcomes Develop and maintain accurate and timely patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other relevant documentation Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:

Current Ohio RN licensure 1+ years of experience in a Vent Unit or similar setting Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients, as needed
