This engaging position focuses on PreK students, emphasizing both communication development and the chance to make a lasting impact throughout a full school year. The district is seeking dedicated professionals who thrive working onsite and are open to an assignment longer than a typical year. As a valued Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll collaborate closely with educators and families, addressing a range of needs from mild to severe, and utilizing AAC devices as appropriate. The setting combines stability with the excitement of possible itinerant work across multiple sites. While Spanish-English bilingual skills are strongly preferred, monolingual candidates are welcomed. Candidates holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) will be prioritized, but consideration will also be given to Clinical Fellows eager to launch their careers in an inspiring school-based setting.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligibility to complete Clinical Fellowship Certificate of Clearance required Previous school-based experience, especially with SEIS and/or California Medicaid (Paradigm), preferred Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred, though not required Experience supporting students using AAC devices is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive onsite speech-language services, predominantly to PreK students Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Consult with teachers and families, ensuring collaborative support for student progress Maintain accurate records and compliance with documentation standards Offer services across multiple schools as needed Embark on a meaningful journey impacting students lives in a supportive educational community.
